  8. Gracie says:

 yeah Michael, I can feel it baby!
    Amazing, beautiful, luscious Michael....

This just reminded me...have any of you heard the new Maroon5 single? It's called Give a Little More or something like that anyway, at the end, the singer does this very Michael-esque "hoo-hoo-hoo". I noticed it the first time i heard it and then yesterday the DJ commented on it after he played it too saying that Adam is doing his best MJ impression. I'm curious whether it was intentional or not on his part but either way it just made me think about how HUGE and indelible Michael's influence is on music, how just a sound can instantly make us think of him....that's amazing.

  9. Sabine says:

I think the Maroon 5 lead singer, Adam, is SEX -SAY!!! He's a big fan of Michael, so I think it was intentional. And yes, I agree Gracie, it's beyond amazing how much influence one man had on generations of music!!!!!

  10. Gracie says:

really? he's a fan? awww, that's sweet then. It makes me smile when i hear it. you know, it took me a while to warm up to "Misery" cuz i thought it sounded too much like "This Love" but the new one i downloaded right away..it's really funky. is he SEX-SAY?? hmmm...i hadn't noticed.

  11. Sabine says:

what's the song he sings, She Will Be Loved. . . I love that song!!!!

It's tells such a heart breaking story and the video was perfect. But yeah, Adam is HOT!!! It's his smoldering eyes!

  12. Gracie says:

i like She Will Be LOved too, it's beautiful. i also love Harder to Breathe. It's an "oldie" now i guess and not as "danceable" as their other singles, it's more rock but i think that song is verrrrry sexy.

  13. Sabine says:

All of my faves, Gracie!!! :kissing:

  14. dani_california85 says:

I DIE RIGHT ON THE SPOT! LOL! :w00t:

HEY, I LOVE ADAM LEVINE BUT I DIDN'T KNOW HE'S AN MJ FAN. :wassat:

How is the new year in N.Y. ? Still snowing a lot?
Here is cold but no snow.
Is there a way to write you in private? I saw a comment the other day of you suggesting someone to write to you but I couldn't follow your instructions 'cause I didn't find the butten to click.
It is always so hard to find your answers to my comments because I get lost easly here like in magic forest of Morgana :)))

  22. Sabine says:

Wow thanks for reminding me of this video!!!!!!! Happy New Year to both of yoy Isabeau and Elena!!!!

Isabeau, You saw Michael in your city in '88!!!!!

    :w00t:

The snow is melting, thank God, but with it I've developed a nice leak in my bedroom. The apartment above me has a nice balcony and all of that melting snow -- so in addition to my writers tool belt, I've had to put my fix up tool belt, too.

  23. ValerieEvans says:

I always love watching this! Michael's performances were heavenly and sensual at the same time. I have never been able to figure that out. For those of you who come from black church back ground, the beginning of this performance reminds of Michael getting in the spirit. This is so unusual since he was a Witness and they just don't do that. The music was just in him like that. And just when you get caught up in the spiritual side of it, he starts to gyrate and the pure thoughts that you just had turn to impure ones!!

Michael were the greatest and I love you and I love the roller coaster ride that you always take me on!!

  24. Sabine says:

Valerie, I always fantasize about Michael having recorded a gospel song somewhere and someone coming across it and releasing it, 'cause GOD, wouldn't that be something!!!!

You know right before Michael passed, he met with Andre Crouch, I think it was --- anyway, Andre said Michael asked what it was like, catching the spirit. And I was thinking to myself, Michael!!! You KNOW what that is like!!!! Michael was catching the spirit all the time when he was performing, and I have to say, that's my favorite part of a song, when the singer just loses it and free styles.

But you're so right, Michael takes you up, up, up on that spiritual journey and then when you're like OMG, this is unreal, this man is an angel :w00t:

He starts gyrating and grinding and makes you lose your freakin' mind!!!! :wassat:

God Bless him, he was the perfect combination of everything!!!

  25. isabeau says:

Yes, Sabine, I saw Michael's concert on the Bad tour in Torino on May 29th... the full moon was high...I remember very well the first and the last song because I was most emotionally moved during those. I was afraid of the crowd, as usual in concerts in that period (people often went wild) so I left my friends go near the stage and I remained alone on the far rings of the stadium. After the first song I realized how dumb I had been... the people was very peaceful and the energy so mellow in spite of the incredible beat.
Luckly there were two huge screens so I could see him but... I regret not beeing closer so much!
I studied dance most of my life and the first thing that strucked me was the energy pouring out of him while dancing... at the end, before singing Man in the mirror, he said something about the full moon and the big screen suddenly projected the huge moon over the crowd... WOW that was something... the whole song lasted for a time that seemed endless, like a long spiritual song and most people was moved to tears and I found myself crying of joy and holding hand with an unknown person next to me. A see of lighters was weaving and we all felt in paradise. During that song the sound of his voice and of the bass were engraved in my memory forever and after that he screamed 'I love you' in Italian with such a sweet accent doubbling the 'n' saying "Vi voglio bennnne" :))))
I came out from there feeling I sensed his soul very well through his voice. Hard to explain this... but so real to me. I felt how strong he was and fragile at the same time... like a piece of art, so strong and powerful in its incredible positive emanation and so delicate and easy to be harmed like a marble statue or a chinese vase, a beautiful painting...
This interview I translated in Italian and my friend Marianna subtitled it, says it all... compressed energy ready to be relesed and may a mix of joy, anticipation, slight stage freight for the first time as a solo, made him shiver... when I saw this the first time my heart melted at the thought of holding his hand like that lucky lady did... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLUUxzJNY8E

  26. QueenSabine says:

Some how I didn't respond to this message! I can't believe it I'm usually so good about responding, any wayyour description of the concert is so moving, I just can't IMAGINE being at one of Michael's concerts!!!!! I can imagine that the energy is potent and probably unreal!!!!!!!

I'm not sure if I would have gone to the stage, I'm just -- not shy, but I'm not like that. I can't explain it. I would have enjoyed the show from my place whereever it was. I bet you could see him beter on the screens than if you would have ran forward. Who knows, maybe I might have ran forward. It's all about my mood, being comfortable and not being pushy. I can't explain it.

Man in the Mirror is such a beautiful, spiritual song and all the footage of the people swaying with their lighters, I can't imagine how Michael must have felt watching that.

*sigh* the interview. You know the media was so mean and heartless with Michael -- it's nice to hear their reflections after his death without all the bitterness and judgmentalness, but I do feel resentful to see them being so nice after the fact. He sure could have used that love when he was alive! :pinch:

I don't have anything against Mary Hart (lucky girl, having dinner with him!!!!) , but I do resent the media on a whole. Her description of his transformation on stage is amazing though. I think only an artist can understand it. A lot of people say his quiet, sad and shyness was an act, but that's because they don't understand

    Thanks for sharing.

  27. isabeau says:

Thank you Sabine.. I read agoain my comment and your answer now...
Wow, I didn't remember how well I described my feelings at the concert!
But the other day when I arrived at the stadium to see those workers plant those trees... that feeling came back over me all of a sudden and I found myself unable to speack for the emotion.
I realized how strong that feeling of that night was for me...

Journalists... I don't like them, I don't like they manage that job but to generalize is never wise...

  28. QueenSabine says:

oh, i didn't know they planted the trees at the stadium, that's special

I don't generalize about Journalists. That would be like saying all are slime. I just say think that most of them are slime  :

  29. isabeau says:

Yes we bouth three Cherry Blossom from the garden center of the City Hall and asked the permission to plant them in the park in front of that stadium and they agreed, infact we had a good discount for some reason and bouth 3 for the expense of 2... with all the work to plant them and the future mantainence... that was really a great thing we did not expect but miracles sometime happen...

    New word for me: 'Slime'...
I had to look in the 'world reference' dictionary to know the meaning... and I agree... 'most of them are slime' LOL

  30. QueenSabine says:

 You didn't know what slime meant! That's too funny!

What is the Italian word for it, if you don't mind me asking? I'm sure it sounds very pretty even though it's a nasty word!
