CowboyMike vs. Prince Michael
Who is Our No. 1 Leading Man & Why?
Here is something to keep you addicts occupied until Prince Michael makes it down to this neck of the woods.
What’s the DIFFERENCE between Cowboy Mike and Prince Michael?
It’s a little unfair, being as Cowboy Michael has evolved into Bad Boy Mike and Prince Michael is still Prince Michael — (but what a Prince! )
Sooooooo, I wanna hear what you addicts come up with.

Cowboy Mike is my GOD!
Hey Sannah!! It’s always nice to hear from a new addict!!!!!
I don’t even know what this page is doing here, it’s empty!!!
You should have posted this on the comment page for the first chapter, I’m sure Michael would be blushing!
(By the way, thanks for commenting, you gave me a great idea for this page!)
they are both lovely – but oh I will need to put my thinking cap on for this one…
and of course mull it over with a martini..
IN the words of Arnold… I’ll be back!
Why are his legs splayed so….. and what is that flap hiding…. ????
  :silly:
Compare CM and PM. I don’t know if I could do that. CM is like Mike in real life, PM is like Mike in fantasy life. Both with their boyish charm mixed with a strange combo of innocence and sex appeal.
The question I would ask is, who would one rather be, Sabah or Saniia….??
  It’s so funny! Because they’re the same person! But I’m glad I’ve accomplished making them seem so different from each other!!!!!
They are so the same and they are so different at the same time. THAT’S how brilliant you are, Sabine!!!
Frodes, in the future you’ll be able to say I was her biggest fan way back when! :kissing:
But it’s true, right, they ARE so similiar and so different, yet the same person — that holds true for Sabah and Saniia too, I mean on a soul level, they’er the same person.
Why is his legs like that Jenny, I guess something is keeping him from closing them !!!! :silly:
Hmmmm…wow, good question! I mean, of course they are the same person, Michael, but in different times and different circumstances so that is what makes them different in the first place.
I think Prince Michael is Michael without all the issues he has concering the way he looks, the Vitiligo, the pressure of being the world’s biggest superstar, dealing with people and so on. Prince Michael doesn’t have all these worries, he’s bit like a knight, brave, courageous, protecting and fighting for the lady he loves. He seems as hurt as CM after what happened with Diana but Prince Michael seems to have found a better way to deal with it. He is more sure of himself, it seems that he knows himself better than CM, at least to me…So he really is the Michael we all saw in our fantasies at one point or another…How we wish Michael could have been/lived.
Cowbow Mike is very close to the “real” Michael Jackson and you capture him so great with all his fears and worries. I mean you consciously included that because you wanted to make CM as real as possible and it works very very well!! Reading CM you feel like you’re a fly on the wall of Michael’s life.
So who do I like better?
I love the magic and fantasy of PM because in your story it’s not corny and it puts Michael in a really interesting setting, one in which I’ve never seen him until now but it works sooo well!!! If Michael had been like that in real life, the out-of-this-world singer and dancer that he was WITH the knight-like qualities of Prince Michael…God, this would have been too much for this world to bear!! Nobody can be that perfect! So I think eventually, trying to understand the real Michael is maybe the less fun but the more important thing and Cowboy Mike helped me a lot with that, personally….I love Michael the real man for who (I believe) he was, not only for the entertainer that he was and the excitement he brought but also for the fact that he was all these things people constantly say about him, very kind and loving, giving, generous, a prankster, shy, romantic, creative and very talented in what he did. I love him for the things that moved him, children, his love of animals and nature…how he was SO right about these things! And I love how I can relate to him in quite a few ways so there’s enough about the real MIchael Jackson to love without having to turn to a fantasy version of him for that. This, however is also A LOT of fun and so I’m just glad that we have both versions of him!!
Prince Michael is a leading man with all the classical lovestory components, like I said, he is like a character out of the Arthurian legend…there’s something noble and heroic about him. Imagine him being the King on day and marrying this beautiful girl who becomes queen and everybody loves them waits for them to have their first child, the heir of the throne and so on…there are 100s of these stories out there, probably 1000s but having Michael in one of them as the main character and Prince/King is such a cool idea, Sabine, and you’re the writer so nothing can go wrong! :kissing: :cheerful:
Cowboy Mike makes us deal with other things, evokes different kinds of emotions in us I think. As I said, this story seems SO real and it’s not a fairy-tale but it’s just as fun because, again, it’s as if we suddenly have access to the real Michael’s life and can understand him even better and more than before.
Lastly, I have to say how I think you not only have accomplished to make CM and PM so different from each other even though they’re the same person but also Saniia and Sabah. We talked about that before I think, to me, they feel like two different versions of Michael’s girl. So I think I get what you mean saying they’re the same soul but they behave very differently imo and I get a different feeling from them. I mean, I know this is also due to the worlds they live in and the things they went through but still…I mean, if Saniia is an “earlier” version of Sabah, you know, Sabah in another life, I get that but they can still be different, can’t they? I think if we all have lived before we are not the same person now as we were back then…
I have to let that simmer some more…will get back to that point, though, I’m sure, with examples from both stories if necessary.
That’s it for now.
Hmmm CM vs PM!!!.Well i love both of them, perhaps CM a little bit more, because he’s so real that i have to pinch myself to realise that it’s a story after all. Anyway they are both so lovely, sweet, sensitive, beautiful and incredibly sexy, that i’m in love to both of them
Who do I prefer? Cowboy Mike or Prince Michael?
It’s like asking me if I would prefer to have a chocolate chip cookie or a blueberry muffin?
An apple or a pear?
A Carlsberg or a Budweiser?
I can’t tell you which I prefer, since it all depends on the mood I’m in.
If I’m looking for heroes and villains in a fairytale setting, then it’s Prince Michael – i.e. PURE ROMANCE.
If I’m looking for a piece of real life Mike, then it’s Cowboy Mike – i.e. PURE ESCAPISM.
Or like a guy on the street in Malaysia once said to me, when he tried to sell me two Calvin Klein T-shirts (imitations obviously) – one red, the other one blue. “Same, same, but different.”
Red or blue?
Depends on the mood I’m in.
Jenny? lol, no…I asked that question.
But something is DEFINITELY keeping them from closing.
 Wonder what ‘that’ is?????
OH, my bad Ladake . . . . you see I was. . . . um, distracted
Ha, ha, Enola, that’ funny “same, same, but different”
But I didn’t only ask which do you prefer, I also asked, why and how are they different . . . it’s kinda like a trick question!
Mariakouraki, oh yes, both Michaels embody all of those qualities you listed :sigh:
We need more men like that!!! I get the more “real” idea — I wonder though what makes one more real than the other?
:cheerful:
CherryLeigh, this very interesting:
I liked that! I love all the other points you made, too!!!!! Keep it coming, girl, I’ll be back later to add more about what you’ve said.
I agree with everything Cherry said!
I’m just too lazy to write all my thoughts out like that.
Cherry, you leave really great comments.
Lol Ladake, now I KNOW you appreciate the blood sweat and tears I pour into the stories — :silly:
You leave great comments too! They’re just sometimes short and sweet!
LOL Oh, I thought you didn’t like the short ones, Sabine! I am too lazy sometimes, as well so good to know that it’s ok if they’re short, as long as they’re sweet.
Just kiddingI  I can write loooong comments on stuff that interests me or that I feel I have a lot to say about, it’s no problem when I have enough time and no university business to worry about…also, I use it to practice my English.
Off to see Inception today, finally!! :w00t:
Later…
I love alll my comments short and sweet — I’m just so touched that someone would take the time out to tell me their thoughts — to share with me.
Cherry you’re gonna loveeeeee Inception!!!!! I’ve seen it three times!
Awwee well the both make my heart melt that same way. Isn’t that all that matters?lol. Let em think of thier diffrences.
*jepordy music playing*
Well, Prince Michael is just like- i can imagine him in war with like some crazy look on his face slicing through the enemy on horseback (and it looks pretty sexy) PM is the fighter who is really soft and mushy and adorable on the inside. He wouldn’t hurt a fly if he didn’t have to. but when he does *sigh*.
And then there’s Cowboy Mike, who is on top of the world but is like a wounded puppy on the inside. He’s been through so much emotionally and it seems like the only person who can really heal his internal wounds is Sabah.
i agree with ElonaLee, CM is escapism while PM is pure romance.
Hey Sabine!! I just finished baking your beautiful birthday cake!!! Only 15 hours until I leave….OMG I have butterflies in my tummy so bad!! I have tons of laundry and packing to do so i gotta make this quick!
Girl, you already KNOW I love our Prince !! yeah, Michael is Michael no matter where or when you put him but I love TTWC for a couple reasons…
1. I love historical fiction, anything set in a long ago time and place….i have always felt i should have been born in “days of yore” …i think i would have fit in much better.
2. The setting and characters in this story are so imaginative and beautiful and fun to read! I like escaping to your little created Neverland better than escaping to the ’80’s!
Sooooo, how are PM and CM different? well, i think the difference begins in their environment. CM exists in our modern time, in a society that is judgmental, demanding, and obsessed with “celebrity” and generally has really messed up values. This is a tough place to navigate and stay true to yourself for anyone, especially hard for Michael….this world exploited him as a child and devoured him as an adult. Prince Michael, on the other hand exists in a society where he is loved and respected for that which made people in this world call him “weird”. Much like i say i would have fit in better in another time, Michael’s natural personality, his honor and values, and gifts are in harmony with his world in PM, whereas in CM, they are constantly at odds. Now, I know I’m generalizing, all is not black and white, right? Both CM and PM have difficult family issues and intimacy issues, but generally speaking, that’s how i see it. Prince Michael seems to be Michael in his pure form, uncorrupted, or at least less corrupted by the messed-up world around him.
So that’s why I love him…he is perfection.
I’m not sure if i’m being very clear and i would love to write more but i really can’t . *sigh* at least i know when i get home my Prince will be waiting for me!!
Hey Sabine I’m back! Oh my gosh, it’s been too long! Guess what? I’m all caught up now, I just finished reading the last chapter! I can’t wait for the next chapter!!!! I like Cowboy Mike I like Prince Michael BUT I LOVE Badboy Mike Hahahaha. I swear when shit hits the fan in my life I read your stories for escapism! You are very talented girl! I love the way you write! Very tastefully done, I’ve never been a fan of romance novels but I am a fan of Cobra Crack Central! :) I missed you honey! I hope all is well
Why is every one getting a reply but me? :cwy:
Well, I’ll be back tomorrow, it’s 3 a.m. here and I haven’t been to bed earlier than that
the last 4 or 5 days. *yawns*
Reminds of the time my friend and I first discoved this site and she would call me a few days later and
say “I stayed up till 4.30 a.m. reading CM” and she had to work the next day!
Bye bye, sweet dreams! :kissing:
Cherry girl, I was answering you in the Da Bar — apparently talking to myself!!!!!
That’s so cute — up all night reading Cowboy Mike — I guess you’re friend is a lurker, huh?
Okay so this is what I wanted to address in your comment that I didn’t before.
OMG, its true right? Prince Michael IS perfect! I was trying to think of something that’s wrong with him!!! I can’t think of one thing!
Awww, that warms my heart because above all, that is my goal in writing this. If I wasn’t doing that, I wouldn’t want to write the story.
These are all the reasons I love Michael too which I why I get so disgusted when people write stories and try to act like he was a ho. Pullease.
see you’re making the point I was making with regard to inception over in da bar room. There ARE 1,000 stories like this but we can never get tired of it cause it’s so romantic!!!!!
I guess if I could be honest, cowboy mike is just not as fun as prince michael right, by virtue of the things they deal with, the issues and the WAY it’s dealt with.
Well it’s like you said with Prince Michael — or was it you? I forget now, but Saniia is Sabah w/o all of her issues.
Thanks that was so insightful!!!!
Well I thought about it… for me CM is my # 1 leading man.
Why – coz I feel like I know CM. Well of course I do! I know him and remember him. I was in love with him and he is real to me. PM is a beautiful princely fantasy, chivalrous, gallant and handsome that I can cuddle up at night before bed… but he is not in my subconscious the way CM is!
Oh and not to mention he just so happens to turn into (in my opinion) the sexiest man alive in 1988 – BBM – and really, what self respecting MartiniGirl doesn’t want a bad boy… or her boy bad… YUM – bring it on!
my reply i like them both. i like cm because it’s like being inside michaels life and in his head. its so realistic, plus i like finally having a picture in my head of how he was with women
with prince michael i like the fact that there are no barriers and he can be whatever and anything can happen. i also like the teasing and sexual tension between him and sanaii. i always wanted to believe michael jackson was on hell of a lover. i believe he was and kept it undercover. again i like having a visual and reading it you can feel what the character feels. delicous. thanks
you can’t be seriously asking us to choose between Michael and… oh well Michael again!!
you know that’s just impossible!! BUT I think I’ll take them both!! hehe!!
Nope, that’s cheating, you gotta tell me how you think they’re different!!!!!
Prince Michael is more a gentleman, and Cowboy Michael is raunchy, otherwise they are the same I like PM a little bit better because he is more like real life Michael more cautious and suspicious of people. IDK, it’s hard to pick one
 You think CM is more RAUNCHY — he’s carrying around a sword and ready to slit anyone’s throat who even looks at him wrong!!!!
And not for nothing, I don’t think Michael was cautious and suspicious ENOUGH!!!!!! :pinch:
:ermm: I think (I think, not sure) CM is a little obsessive (about the press and all that) sometimes, not unjustified but still… But I guess that’s because of the different times they live. In this time of technology and the lightning speed information travel. Based on your last comment with the sword and him being ready to slit anyone’s throat… And CM has Bill to take “care” of things he avoids to so.. I’m thinking I’d choose PM. I’m a complete fool!! :dizzy:
Katerina, girl, read the post again!
It’s not about choosing one or the other — they’re both the same guy!
I was just asking how were they different!!!!!
either way you got your answer, didn’t you?!
Noooo,
I swear, I still don’t know what you think are their different characteristics that make them seem like different people !!!!
c’mon now… CM hates confrontation right? If my memory serves me well that’s what I got from sth he had told Sabah (that there are a lot of things he doesn’t tell his family because they just don’t. I don’t remember which chapter was but now that I’m reading the story all over once I find it I’ll comment). And any errand need to be run was run either by Bill or just someone from his stuff. Correct me if I’m wrong but now I’m thinking about it that’s the difference I see so far. On the other hand as you already said in your comment above CM is ready to cut throats if someone dares to look at him wrong!
