Beyond the EGO
I love Michael’s philosophy on life, and he LIVED it; it was not just talk. Isabeau shared this lovely video in a comment and I just had to make it into its own post:

I love this man so much! He was the biggest star ever, but he didn’t let it go to his head he realized all that he had could have been taken away just as it was given. Instead of being cocky for being one of the great ones he chose to stay humble do something with his celebrity, by standing up for what he believed in and helping the less fortunate. He really did care it wasnt for show you can hear the truth of his words in his voice.
This is why I like your site so much it’s not just a fantasy for you its also about the truth.

Remember that commercial, for Michael Jordan, “Like Mike, if I could be like Mike” – it’s an old commercial, but yep, I wanna be like Mike, and I don’t mean dance and sing. I want to always be humble and have that beautiful pure spirit that see’s things w/ the eyes of a childl to be strong enough to speak the truth and compassionate enough to care. :wub:

Haha yeah I do remember… everybody was singing that song. I know exactly what you mean because I to want to be like him. After his death I’ve learnt alot more about him and the more I learn the more I love him. So he is someone I try to imitate, but it is so hard. If there was one thing I could ask Michael it would be: How did you manage to stay so full of love with all you had to endure?
I think Michael was just full of love period. There’s a verse in the bible that I love. It goes like this: “For whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.”
It’s tricky to understand, but amazingly so full of truth :wub:
