Compassion is kind.
Compassion is curious without assumption.
Compassion can be expressed in the simple act of presence, just being there, just showing up.
Compassion is also linked to beauty – a willingness to see beauty in another and not just what is lacking.
Compassion also leads to mystery, encouraging us to see not just beauty but also look for the face of God in the moment of suffering, in the face of a stranger.
Compassion is visible, when we see it we recognize it, it changes the way we think of what is doable or possible.
