So you think Michael Jackson was Bullied?
I’ve tried to keep this place separate and apart from the ugliness in the world, after all that is what escapism is all about! But there comes a time when a price has to be paid for peace; for the small comforts we want to enjoy, and that price is sometimes having to stand up for something or feeling a little uncomfortable.
I have been attacked. I am being attacked. And the only reason I’m being attacked is because I happen to admire Michael Jackson — that’s it. If you think Michael Jackson was bullied — scratch that, if you KNOW Michael Jackson was bullied and you say that you would stand up for him and defend him, then you need to stand up for this cause and support me in my fight because I could be you, just as any one of us could have been Michael. No, we wouldn’t have danced as well or had such an amazing voice. But yes, all of us could have been mercilessly attacked by the media, dragged through the mud by the judicial system for a crime we didn’t commit and falsely accused by greedy people who want money. All of us!
Michael was hounded most of his life. He was ridiculed, victimized and shown to the world as a criminal through the cameras of the paparazzi and the tabloids. The media always reached their own conclusions and gave him no sympathy. All he asked for was privacy and for his voice to be heard. Behind the great entertainer was a man who was crucified by the press.
I am being maligned and attacked on a website called Topix .com – part of the reason I have tried to keep this quiet is because I don’t want to advertise this site. Before anyone clicks open a new tab and tries to look this up, let me warn you. Anyone, and I mean ANYONE can be maligned and defamed on Topix.com. I can at this very moment open a new tab, type in the address of a proxy server website (a website that will mask my i.p. address) and PRETEND to be YOU. I can write terrible things about your children, your family and YOU. I can use your full name and other personal information that I know about you, and I can do all of this ANONYMOUSLY.
And after I click send this LIE, this false comment will be indexed on Google in 19 minutes and it will appear on the first page of a search for your name, and it will STAY THERE. Even if you can get Topix to delete it, which nine times out of ten they will not, Google will have indexed it several times all pointing back to Topix; this is how they get their traffic and make money, by causing misery and pain to other people.
So I am urging and asking everyone who supports Michael, to support me! Please sign this petition boycotting Topix. If you have ever had the misfortune of visiting the Michael Jackson forum on Topix, you will never again, I’m sure, see such smut and garbage gathered together in one place.

I really appreciate the support and kind words — it means a lot, because I’ve put a lot into this site, and to get out of it being harassed doesn’t make it worth it to me. I learned long ago not to visit Topix in regards to anything Michael Jackson-people are simply horrible.

But truthfully, petitions are like protests and boycotts in the real world; it’s about being annoying and getting people to listen when they don’t want to. Every time the petition is signed, the advertisers, topix and the legislatures are contacted. If enough people signed it, and enough advertisers pulled out from Topix, they’d change because all they care about is money.

People can be so Malicious….and cruel…like the get kicks out of hurting others…I signed and will pass it on to my friends as well! Hope all is doing well and that this will not let you ever forget your God Given Talent that it is only on hold for a little while…

Thanks for signing. There’s a video that’s gone viral, have you seen it? It’s a bus matron being bullied by these kids for over ten minutes. They are so cruel they make her cry. I can’t help but think it’s only that people can see how painful the words and actions of others can be that there’s been such a reaction to the video, because people are so prepared to ignore this.
I’m feel better, so I hope to be writing soon.
This sounds awful. So much has changed when I was growing up and I believe the Internet is to blame for the most part. I takes people so faceless and nameless, people do not see the pain or harm they inflict.
I am so sorry to hear that you were a target of these bullies. You sound like a strong woman, but it has too hurt. I will sign for you and all the other people being hurt needlessly.

No I actually didn’t see the video of the bus matron being bullied..
Bullying has become completely and utterly out of hand..As my daughter’s gs leader we had our troop run an event for younger girls helping them to understand all types of bullying….and what they can do to stop it…
I know the leaders of the other troops loved what our girls did and many of the younger girls went out and actually knew what they could do to help and stop bullying that goes on in their school.
As a parent and a teacher I know I am constantly stressing the effects of bullying and how to better handle themselves in a bullying situation and what they can do to stop it. Somehow it doesn’t seem like it is enough……but I guess if it gets through to a few and passed on then eventually it can get better
