Okay now that you’re in, Look our Bar Room. :silly: :cheerful: Annie Decorated it and I think she’s done a FABULOUS job!!!!! Thanks Annie!!!!
After, if you are still walking, talking and coherent you might want to stop by our gift shop!!!!
N O W S E R V I N G :
Hey there handsome, excuse me for a minute I’ll be right with ya’
MENU LIST:
N E W ON THE M E N U!:

DDD, also served by the bottle

Dirty Dirty Dirty Diana
INTRODUCING The dirty, Dirty, DIRTY DIANA: Some of you addicts have been pretending. And it’s really not necessary. When you come into the bar, have a seat. Your drink has already been prepared. We’ll even serve you the bottle. After all, it’s got your name on it. :alien:
Warning: Do NOT Mix this drink with Bad Boy Shots. We’ve heard some stories, let me tell ya!

Bad Boy Shot
THE BAD BOY SHOT: Let’s face it, you’re not a good girl and you’ve never been one. You need something strong in ya and this big, black bottle IS IT. One shot is usually enough though we at CCC already know that’s not all you want. Pure Testosterone, raw masculinity infused with some BAD a$$ attitude – all you need to do is open up, throw this one back and wait for it.
:pouty:  Warning (Drink Responsibly)

MJ

- MJ, Too
MJ: We’ve taken this infusion of all natural MJ bodily extracts and perfectly blended it into this refreshingly, naturally sweet and tangy citrus beverage we all ooooooof course, MJ. And we swear, it taste just like JUICE! We can’t really explain what it will do to you — experience it for yourself. You’ll understand after your very first swallow.
A Wet Sabah: Creamy Sabah w/ just a hint of Michael in her.
In honor of our favorite couple’s special night we at CCC have created two special drinks:
CHASTITY and UNLEASHED

Ms. CHASTITY
MS. CHASTITY: Coy and uninhibited, sweet and sincere. Remember when you were without fear, honest and whole — do you want to feel like that little girl again; do you want to experience, if only for a moment, the blissfulness of youth? Enjoy, Saniia’s Ms. CHASTITY. Experience the quality that captured Michael’s heart. INNOCENCE IS INTOXICATING.
UNLEASHED: Years of discipline, control and abstinence can only result in one thing: UNLEASHED. We were there. We captured it. We bottled it. Taste the flavor of unbridled passion.

Liquid CobraCrack ™
LIQUID COBRACRACK™ There hasn’t been a chapter uploaded for days! Your internet connection is on the blitz and you can’t find your IPod. Your family and friends have completely disassociated themselves from you because you’ve become a walking zombie. Not one of them understands why you’ve been staring at the blank screen of your computer for days now. But if you don’t get some Michael in you and in you quick, you will just explode!
Due to the number of addicts jonesing outside of CCC we rolled up our sleeves and created this TEMPORARY infusion of Michael in the form of Liquid CobraCrack ™. Stock up now while supplies last. Keep some in the back of your fridge, in the garage, under your desk at work and in your nightstand. Never be without Michael again!!! But Be Warned: Liquid CobraCrack ™ is equally as addictive as the real thing and there is a high likelihood of developing a tolerance very quickly. You really just can’t replace the real thing!!!!

The cool, refreshing boyish joy of Michael in your glass.
MINTY MIKE: Inspired by Sonia: We were just goofing off, experimenting when we took Michael’s cool smile, his refreshingly sincere good nature, his boyish charm and added just a dash of delight and to our surprise, POOF!!! A Minty Mike appeared! One sip and we couldn’t stop laughing!!! Almost scientifically identical to the chemical compound of JOY, this drink will chase away any and all of your blues and put a peppermint — permanent smile on your face. Enjoy!

Creamy Sabah
CREAMY SABAH: Creamy Chocolate Mike w/ just a hint of Sabah. We searched high and low for a non-x-rated picture that we could put up and this is what we came up with — WHEWWWW!!!!

Pure
Prince Michael’s PURE – Cool, Sweet and light as mist, this magical drink refreshingly satisfies your craving for Prince Michael without the calories or the alcohol. Passion distilled to its purest form, PURE WILL cure your thirst . . . but alas not your desire. Feel free to drink it all day and all night but be warned, Prince Michael always leaves you wanting more.

 L.O.V.E.:When it comes to shots, we don’t offer anything that is more electrifying. We are serving the pure essence of Michael. It IS all that he had ever stood for and nothing more. People who met him basked in its warmth. It was in his words, his actions, his demeanor, his behavior and most of all, his smile. He simply exuded it from his pores. He gave and never asked for anything in return and now we offer the same to you.
If you’re feeling down and you need a pick me up; if you have been hit with a dose of negativity and need something to chase it away, we present to you something that will fill you with only the most natural of highs. It is ten times stronger than any of our other drinks and lasts twice as long: L.O.V.E. Have a shot today and experience the love of Michael Jackson. ***If you experience an immediate sense of peace, joy and contentment, don’t be alarmed that’s the magic of Michael in your system.

Chocolate Covered Mike
CHOCOLATE COVERED MIKE: For those of us with a sweet tooth introducing, Chocolate covered Mike. It’s decadently sweet, addictive, satisfying and unbelievably good for you. It’s just too perfect, OMG!!!!

SANGRE: Other establishments serve Sangria. We serve Sangre. Simply put, this sensually, seductive mixture of perfectly blended fruit, aged wine and just a tinsy weensy drop of Michael’s blood will invade your system and change your personality FOREVER. Undercover cameras captured the woman in the picture above seconds after she took one sip – we are not even sure she had a chance to swallow. Michael NEVER knew what hit him but I hear he was smiling for days afterward. Try it – if you’re woman enough.
THE FORCE: This drink is served with a resuscitation kit. I don’t’ think I need to say more!

The Prince Royale
THE PRINCE ROYALE: You’re a lady, and you know truthfully that is the only kind of woman who can capture Michael’s heart. You only drink to relax, not to get drunk like some of the lesser women who frequent Da Smooth Criminal. You’re not interested in cheap sex, you want a life time commitment from the object of your affection. Your drink will be served in our finest crystal, the ones etched in gold, on a silver platter in the VIP section of the bar. The smooth and fruity undertones of this vintage wine will peel away the layers of your resistance until you are as free from your inhibitions as any Creamy Mike lover. The only difference is you’ve done it with style. The price of this drink only reflects your superior self-worth. Go ahead splurge. You’re worth it! And Michael will definitely take notice. He enjoys the finer things in life and so do you.

Thug Passion
THUG PASSION: Okay it’s no Michael but you’re strapped for cash. The flavor doesn’t last as long but it’s just a ‘lil something to keep you going until you can get a REAL drink. A favorite of our financially challenged customers. What you see is what you get and damn, come on girls, you have to admit, it looks good as hell.
THE MABHA: A smooth and tangy combination of Sabah and Michael with a twist and zesty kick at the end. Don’t nurse it, ’cause it get’s flat. Drink it while it still has that sizzle!
THE GENTLEMAN WILL stay in you all night and will also be the first thing you feel when you wake up in the morning. Now let’s be clear: It’s not a hangover. It’s better than a hangover. It’s a HANG ON I’M CUMIN’.

Cool, milky, deceptively sweet.
THE MIKEGASM: Hands down, our most popular drink! Cool, Milky and deceptively sweet, you won’t see where the bang is coming from but IT WILL hit ya!!!!! What’s worst, you’ll keep ordering it anyway. We can’t explain why it explodes in your mouth, we just know we like it!!!! Make sure you have a designated driver if you start throwing back this one. We’re not going to take responsibility and you WON’T have just one.
MR. M: This is our signature beer. We brew it on the premises but if you’re watching yourself, you can get our light version instead.
MRS. M: The light version of our homemade brew, for our responsible drinkers who also want to make it home in one piece.

Holoma's Soup
HOLOMA’S SOUP: This deceptively potent drink has babies popping up all over the place and since Michael loves da kids, we just can’t take it off the menu. It’s spicy and fruity and served with a strangely cool mist circling up top. Don’t mind the woman in the back hovering over the cauldron. She mixes a big batch of it every morning and though we’ve never asked for a specific list of ingredients, she says that it’s all natural and we trust her!!!

Creamy Mike

Creamy Mike w/ Extra Creme
CREAMY MIKE: (Inspired by Annie) Pure milk chocolate, lightened to perfection with thick, heavy cream and a blend of exotic liqueurs, the taste of this drink will linger in your mouth for hours. You’ll find yourself constantly licking your lips and thinking about it even after you’ve cleaned the last drop out of the glass with your finger. So delicious we naturally prepare two when it’s ordered because everyone gulps them down so quickly. BE WARNED: This drink WILL give you a particularly wicked alcoholic sugar rush. A number of women find it very difficult to keep their legs closed even after one small sip.

The Foreplay
THE FOREPLAY: (Inspired by Martinigirl) Trust me. Looks CAN be deceiving. This seemingly happy go lucky drink will put you flat on your back and keep you there. No matter what you’ve heard YOU ARE NOT READY for this drink. The tangy taste of pineapples smothered in Amaretto and Southern Comfort will knock you right off your feet – literally. Once on your back, you WILL stay there for days . . . and nights. I took this off the menu because I lost a couplah return customers. It’s served with a life size cut out of the Michael pic above. A bunch of people ordered, left and were never seen again.

Golden Boy
THE GOLDEN BOY: (Inspired by Enola) From the moment this Martini came into existence we knew it was special. Inexplicably sliding down your throat like icy cold molten lava, we struggled to formulate an adequate description. Fearing, because the drink was so powerful, that we would face multiple law suits if we put this volatile concoction on our menu we decided in the end it would only be safe to offer ONE drink PER PERSON per LIFE TIME. Ladies, ladies, before you protest, please try and understand: The Martini . . . shakes/stirs itself! (Cue dramatic music) ( O-O )
THE THRILLER — (Inspired by MJQuan) It sizzles, it pops, it dances in your mouth and then it gets down in you and makes you wanna dance, too. One sip, and your hand is up in the air, you’re pursing your lips and saying, “Oooooo”!!! This is our most popular non-alcoholic drink. You can take it all day and never get tired. Enjoy!

TY, girl! Ok, now translating the defining words (LOL – it’s not that easy, see?). I need an Unleashead, I feel enough naïf now to have some Ms.Chastity.
control V, Melissa to paste control C to copy. And you can’t put in pictures or GIFs — I’ve got it blocked because of spam. Just put the link up and I’ll, like Annie said, make the magic appear.
As far as having to log in and out, I think it’s because you’re either logged in somewhere else either in google with another account, and trying to go back and forth. Are you on FIREFOX? Because Internet Explorer sucks. Clear your cache, log in one time in google connect and you shouldn’t have to log in again. Even if you turn off your computer. Oh youwelcome for the MJ toolbar, isn’t it cool!!!?!?!
FYI, Martinigril, I already got that GIF, so don’t email it to me
 (it never gets old)
Look at Annie in the corner blowing on her Unleashed, too cute!

I know I am not the only one to feel this way – but sometimes when I see pictures of him – when he is so stunningly absolutely gorgeous – my heart starts beating wildly and I lose my breath – how can a crazy made love crush be this strong so long after?
Hi MartiniGirl!

ooooo, i was right, it’s REALLY cool! I like your style E!
Awww… thank you…
*blushes*
I was admiring your AVI too Enola – even clicked on the small one to look at it… I like! Tis beautiful. (Although I thought it was a wine bottle – which is your style too!)
I know Sabine & Mama G… he is gorgeous in red isn’t he?
I am wondering if it is all the emotion of my girlfriend asking me to bat for the other team that my attraction / missing Michael is so strong today..
MartiniGirl, a wine bottle?
I have no idea what you are talking about.
However, I definitely agree that Michael is gorgeous in red.
Bat for the other team? LOL!
Never heard that expression before, but I love it.
aahhh, a few minutes of peace and quiet to unwind before the rest of my day catches up to me….hmmm.you know what, i haven’t had a Creamy Mike in a while….that sounds real nice.
Enola, you’ve inspired me to put up this new pic i’ve been meaning to use for my avi.
earlier while i was in here, thinking my daughter was happily watching Yo Gabba Gabba, she was actually scavenging for cookies in the kitchen. I found her sitting there like a junkie on a bender, crumbs everywhere, chocolate all over her face…she took one bite out of at least 10 cookies!! it was like a massacre!! in her defense they WERE chocolate chocolate chunk so, who can blame her?
needless to say i just got done cleaning the kitchen floor.
MGirl, how are you dealing with your life drama? staying drunk on martinis and L.O.V.E.? you are in my thoughts always. I guess with Michael on your mind though we don’t need to worry about you making a trade, do we?
Nice avi, Gracie!
Very graceful.
Oh, I can almost picture you daughter! They are so adorable when they are that age…and sometimes a pain in the … too. But it’s impossible not to love them. Aww, I miss the good times when my daugher was younger. This is her, when she was 5:
LOL! She just saw I was going to upload the picture and went: Yay! I’m going to be a superstar!
Oh girls….*sigh*
You don’t know how much I love coming in here to see you and take a peek at what is going on in everyone else’s life. I am so glad I have you guys to share my Michaelness with – you guys are definitely my reality break!
You know, I thought I was super happy today but it appears I am just not as good as I thought… I am like an emotional basket case today…
Normally, when required, I can keep my emotions in check until I am somewhere private… however I am about to embark on my 3rd walk around the building this today – so I don’t cry in the office…
On the upside – I have confirmed that when I go to get my tattoo finished next month – I will be getting small MJ tattoo on my left wrist too…
Now Mama G – firstly I got your email but have not had a chance to respond as I would like…but I will though!
I have to tell you I have no interest (at least at this point of my life) of switching teams or even taking a batting practice… I might take a look at their line up and see their practice tapes… but for now I am more suited and interested in men… and I feel confident we will make it past the trade deadline – at least this year!
haha – sounds like you have a little cookie monster in your house… how adorable…
Okay… I must walk!
Just in case, I will take my shot of L.O.V.E. with me.
Enola, your daughter is precious
I love that hair, like corn silk!
Oh what a gorgeous little girl…
She will be a superstar!!
At least to us here.
hmm – what can I drink now?
Hi Sabine,
Yes, she is cute. Or maybe I should say WAS cute… Right now she’s nothing but arms and legs and strange proportions… But I’m affraid she’s going to be a bit of a bombsheel when she grows older. Dark brown eyes – so dark they look black at times – and blonde hair… Oh boy, I’d better start laying out a minefield in front of my house in order to keep the boys away from her. Unless of course someone like Michael shows up, then mommy will gladly lower the drawbridge.
I think your daughter is adorable Elona, her hair is that white blonde that I love on little kids
awww, Enola… …she’s lovely! yes, it’s a good thing they are so cute when they’re little and BAD!! hee-hee..my daughter actually says that…she pouts and goes”who’s bad?..I bad!”
a superstar! LOL! she sounds like my oldest son, he thinks he is like the hottest thing since toast! He IS cute but, oh my, delusions of grandeur anyone?
He is a little older than your daughter but OMG i can’t believe how physically mature the girls in his class are! it’s scary how early they bloom! no worries about my daughter when she gets there..my husband has her signed up for the convent already! Hes’ just kidding (I think!)
MGirl, now worries honey, just know i’m wishing you well
got to run!
Enola, Gracie, I think it’s the internet and reality T.V. that makes kids think they can be instant stars just by being attractive.
I asked my daughter about one of the Kardashians, what is her TALENT????
I remember the days when you had to actually had to DO something unique to be set apart from the rest of the population
You know, My daughter’s at that age where she takes 100,000 pictures of herself everyday. So annoying!!!! :pinch:
She actually thinks she’s quite the bombshell herself, but I always remind her, it’s what’s inside that counts. I try to make her understand that if she cultivates her inner beauty she’ll REALLY be beautiful.
It’s what’s on the inside that counts, that’s a difficult concept for some teenagers because of all the images in the media and on TV. Inner beauty is the best and Michael had tons of it!
Girl, Collete, it is so true. Michael God, he had both, and it made him so much more beautiful!!!!
But I think what made Michael the most beautiful was his humility
Oh, my!!! SO many wonderful things to comment on today!!!
MartiniGirl… I know how you feel. It’s cause today is the 25th and it’s just one more month closer. It’s a bit emotional on another forum I post on as well. But with time, it will get easier.
It’s so true. Michael wore red better than anyone. I could just eat him up.
Enola, your daughter is precious!!!
Sabine, if only all mothers were like you, teaching their children what’s REALLY important in life.
OMG, Sabine. I finally watched all of LOST!!!
SPOILER ALERT EVERYONE!!!
It was so wonderful!!! I mean, I have to be honest and say I’m a bit confused over some things but all in all, it was great. The part that got me the most was when Charlie and Claire reunited. I cried at that like how I did at the end of “The Return of the King”!!! LOL!!! It was just so beautiful, all the flashbacks of them remembering their past on the island and all that.
The few questions I have are this:
1. Why didn’t Ben go inside the church???
2. Why weren’t Walt and Michael included in the group of people in the church??? I thought they were a pretty big part of that group!!!
I have my own thoughts on the first question but I’m totally stumped on the 2nd one. I want to hear what you think first!!!
Woo-hoo!!! The warehouse is being loaded up??? I like the sound of that!!!
Evening ladies…I have just returned from a baseball game in Paradise! No, i didn’t die and go to heaven (or Iowa!) or to a tropical island, that’s just a little Lancaster County PA humor! (literally, there is a town called Paradise…don’t be fooled, it’s just like any other little hick town except there’s Amish stores for the tourists and horse pucky all over the parking lots!) I know, i’m sorry for the lame joke, i just can’t resist…
Sabine, you are so right about the “celebrities” out there these days…i don’t pay any attention to them at all, seriously, how wonderful can these people be if their sole purpose in life is to be recognized ? Even many of the “talented” people you see and hear are just so unoriginal, you wonder why did this person get a record deal? Then you watch and listen to Michael like in that vid on the front page here and you realize no one even comes CLOSE to his true artistry. All of them could take a lesson from Michael’s inner beauty and humility too.
It is hard to teach kids to focus on their inner beauty but you know, i DO think they recognize that in each other. Like, there’s this really beautiful girl at my son’s school, she’s new and i saw her the first time i was like, Oh, she’s cute, but he made this face and he was like, UGH! she’s so stuck up and she said this and that about so and so. So, they are naturally attracted to people who are genuine and beautiful inside, that’s just human nature i guess. My son is well-liked not just because he’s cute and he knows it. He’s self-confident and fun to be around but he is respectful. Does he get away with crap because of it? You bet! he always has and probably always will. he’s just one of those people, you know? like Ferris Bueller or Chris’s brother Drew. All i can do is try to keep him grounded.
Okay, yak yak yak…shut up and have a drink Gracie!
Dang, I feel so out of the loop.
Summer school started so: :pouty:
Sabine I’ve been coming here everyday just to check that swirly banner, I was like if that thing says sooo satisfied one more time, I was gonna take my arm and swipe all the drinks on the ground in big sweep.
jk. :sideways: :silly:
Thanks for your words Frodes
Yeah I know.. I didn’t want to say anything today – but I knew that is why I was so emotional…
I belong to a couple forums – but mostly I am on MJJC – where I am part of the Legacy Project – where we are all about honouring, preserving and defending his legacy – we are planning a few things for next month – so I am sure it is weighing on my mind today – better now… good luck 2morrow!
Oh Mama Gracie! Paradise is in Pennsylvania? Who would of guessed!
Okay I think I will take an UNLEASHED – I need something to hit me quick and hard!
Hey ,whhhhew, I just came from my son’s Spring Concert, his last year in Junior Hight – OMG, tears!!!!
First of all, they sang I’ll Be There (he’s in the choir) and Man in the Mirror. I was so psyched, And then the Jazz ensemble did Thriller!
It was so special to me and I think Michael would have been hunored!
Gracie, you know I think it’s such a beautiful thing that I’ve exposed my children to music of different genres early on in their life so that they soooo appreciate the oldies. I mean, they’ll put on a remake of some classic and I’ll be like, Excuse me you need to hear the org. and w/o fail, except for some very few exceptions, they always agree that the original is better. I think my children have old souls. I bought West Side Story and I swear my son watched that DVD so many times it wasn’t funny!
:ermm:
But . . . .
that doesn’t stop my daughter from liking Justin Beiber
Girllll, Gracie, I don’t know about that! Kids can be very cruel. I think that’s why they need guidance and direction. They are like little sponges watching our every move and learning and mimicking us every second of the day, all the good and the bad. Can we say Lord of the Flies????!?!?!
I think differently about most thinks, I guess. Today, while watching the concert there was a cute little girl in front of us, and my daughter was like
OMG, look at her she’s a adorable. and we were waving at her and smiling because really, she was adorable.
Then I said to my daughter, You see though, if she wasn’t oh so cute, would you exclaim and faun over her like you are? But yet, that little not-so-cute child needs to be recognized too.
And so I always remember to have a kind word and a smile and a compliment for the child that other people kind of pass over. I’m always thinking that way.
I’m surprised to hear you say your son is cute and knows it!
My son could careless about how he looks. I don’t think it has ever occurred to him!!!
You know I have to share something that his Principal said to me. I was so heart warmed. I went up to him to let him know what a phenomenal show I thought the concert was and also to tell him that my son had been accepted to Gramercy Arts, which is an art high school he interviewed for — it was his first choice, and he worked hard on his portfolio, so of course, I’m kinda proud of him.
So the Principal said of course that he was so happy for him, but he said to me Before I say anything about your son’s talent, and we all know he’s talented, I want to tell you what a nice, sweet gentleman he is. He is always respectful and always treats other with kindness. He is really a Class Act.
I mean
I couldn’t think of a nicer compliment to hear as a mother!!!! :cheerful:

Frodes, my dear, I KNOW you’re not asking me questions about LOST!
 No, no, I’m just joking let me see . . . .
Because Ben understood he was not ready to go to the next level. He had not learned the lessons that his soul needed to learn here on this Earth, and so he knew he had to stay. He even said, I have some things to work out still. I liked the way they worded it and directed that scene. Because we see that Ben COULD have gone on if he chose, but he chose not too.
It aligns with the spiritual belief that I hold, which is that we all choose the life experiences we have, and the lessons we encounter so that our soul can grow and learn, and we do come to a point when we look back at our life and decide, did we learn what we needed to; and if not, I believe we choose an even harder lesson the next time around.
Same answer. They had not learned what they needed to learn. They were STUCK in a literal sense, on that Island, in the hell that they had created for themselves through their choices.
The scenes when they reconnected with each other and remembered OMG, tears, tears, tears — it was so BEAUTIFUL; I loved every second of it. I mean, LOST is a show I will remember and be thinking about for the rest of my life!!!!

I hope you enjoy it. Sabine, if you see any photos you like and want to use them for PM, feel free to right click save!!!
And I would like to have a more further discussion on LOST but I can save that for email cause I have other things I want to know your opinion about.
Good morning everyone.
*jumping through the spoilers cause maybe one day I’ll start to watch the show – :P*
Enola your daugther is soooo cute… and so blonde – wow!
Sabine, your boy…. I can’t even imagine how you feel. Prince Royale for you, for his royal heart.
Good morning addicts! I have been BUSY already today!…it’s supposed to get up to 90 degrees so i’m getting all my chores done early…..
is a cool refreshing Mabha appropriate for 8 AM? OK!
Oh Sabine… :cwy: …nothing tugs at the old heartstrings quite like a bunch of kids singing! And Michael’s songs? i wish i could have heard it.Last spring concert? *sigh*..they are officially “big” then. my boys had theirs just a few weeks ago and i figured out that by the time we get all the kids through 8th grade, we will have gone to 20 years of Spring Concerts! isn’t that crazy? so i’m not even half-way there!
Congratulations to your son for getting into the arts school, that is WONDERFUL And, “Mama of the Year” award to you for raising him so beautifully! Those are the BEST compliments. It’s so meaningful to get that kind of feedback. I know Annie already got you one, but i can’t think of anything more appropriate than a Prince Royale, so have two!
Justin Bieber? …*sigh* “his smile is like watching a tiny little bunny sniff a flower”
Maybe I got you confused with all my boys but that was my oldest (#1) who has the big ego, not #2 who is the one that is like your son. I don’t think THAT boy ever even looks in the mirror ! He does wear what he thinks are “cool” outfits but, OMG, he rarely even matches and he wears the SAME THING over and over! Now #1, he was born that way, even when he was just little he loved to pose for pictures and he has always known how to manipulate adults with his charm! He makes me crazy sometimes but sometimes i wish i had half his self-confidence.
I guess what i was trying to say is that we as humans naturally want to be around people who are genuine and beautiful INSIDE. Maybe the outside attracts us first, but if there is no beauty behind it we move on. So, yes kids need our guidance to nurture their inner development but i think they naturally have it in them as well as the dark Lord of the Flies side! I know kids can be cruel and they ARE certainly too focused on outward appearances, particularly their own. They are still works in progress but maybe we ARE doing a good job with them. I was really surprised the few times i was in #1’s classroom this year with how down-to-earth the kids are and how well they get along. When i was that age the outcasts were funny-looking or smelly or didn’t have nice clothes, but in his class, the least popular kids are not liked because they are not nice or because they cause drama. My son is very popular and yes, he’s cute but he is no Justin Bieber and he is definitely low rung on the socio-economic status ladder. Who knows, maybe all that $ I fork over for Catholic school is worth it, maybe the uniforms and no make-up rules actually DO help them cultivate their inner selves instead of judging each other by their looks and their “stuff”? maybe we actually ARE good parents after all the worrying we do?
Either way, i think it’s important for us adults not to generalize…I can’t STAND when adults, especially teachers and influential adults are like” oh, what’s the world coming to, look how bad these kids are..” and stuff like that when you KNOW there are some really awesome kids out there. To me, that’s like a self-fulfilling prophecy. If all they hear is that they are shallow and disrespectful , that is disrespectful to THEM and they WILL behave that way, know what i mean?
okay, sorry for being so full of it this morning. Commencing shutting up and drinking!
Sabine,
Congratulations to your son for getting into the arts school – and to you too!
You obviously did a good job.
  Sabine Justin Bieber is everywhere these days, I don’t get all the hype about him, but he’s a good role model for now, and there’s one song that is my guilty pleasure “Baby” lmao
hi Enola! Hi Colette!
anyone around for a lunchtime Creamy Mike?…i’ll drink alone if i have to…
Colette, I salute you for admitting your guilty pleasure! you are a brave girl.
Mine is Kesha…i think she’s a TERRIBLE role model and i want to hate her SO much but i can’t help singing along with her songs!
Who said a Creamy Mike?
Hi, Gracie!
No need to dring all by yourself!
Ah, dear Enola, it’s sooo much better with company!…EXtra extra whipped cream for you too?
how is Denmark today?
Ooooo, yes, gimme some of that whipped cream! :w00t:
How is Denmark?
Well, since the warm weather in the weekend, it’s been overcast and cold…
I’m hoping the summer isn’t over already.
But apart from the weather everthing is just fine. My hubby has applied for a new job – and YAY! he has just been invited to a job interview this Friday. So we are keeping out fingers crossed. He is quite happy in his current job, but it looks as if the company is going to close in a few months so it’s time to get away and find something new – and hopefully a little longer lasting. :cheerful:
Summer is just getting started here, only 2 more weeks of school! How does your school year run over there? do you have summer vacation?
I will keep my fingers crossed with you for your hubby on the new job. Change is always scary and exciting.
OMG is there anything that isn’t better with whipped cream on it? and Sabine gets the good stuff too, the REAL cream, none of that whipped up corn syrup around here!
Hey girls.
It’s a beautiful but HOTTTTTT day in NYC!!!!! Frodes, I haven’t had a chance to look at your blog yet but I’ll do so later — so where’s your reply about LOST — oh, shoo I see you said you’re going to send me an email.
Honey, you can just talk about it here, like you’ve mentioned Lord of the Rings several times — what if there’s someone else who might like to join the conversation (the whole “I’ll send you an email/I sent you an email/Send me an email – it reminds me of passing notes in class) .
Except for Annie, who might watch it later (HI Annie!!!!) I’m sure there are other LOST watchers in the room, or maybe, we might just convince someone to watch it!!!!

Colette, thanks to my daughter I know all the JBeiber songs! Baby is cute, there’s a couple of others I like, too, but he will not stand the test of time. He’s just the latest fad!

Gracie, girl I love your positivity!!!!!! I, myself, am an admitted realist!
That means I don’t look at the cup as half full, if the water has little bugs floating in it
This is my colorful way of saying, yes, children are sweet and to me the brightest – or one of the brightest parts of our collective lives.
I mean I hear you honey, but maybe not all those children are so good. Maybe some of them need to hear that and reflect. When you speak of how down-to-earth the kids are and how well they get along, well, yeah, maybe they are more accepting on a lot of levels, but a lot of the non-acceptance is still there, some of it is going on “behind the scenes” like ON LINE — this is the generation of Twitter/emails, text messages and the like. It’s so easy for people to be nasty on line.
So that’s just one example of one level. And children have KILLED themselves because of this — not bringing you down, but just balancing out the convo.
Yes, I don’t think ANYONE wants to be around people who are disingenuous and ugly inside — unless of course they have that ugliness inside of them, too. Or are well on their way, if they are not already, to being disingenuous — then they would HATE being around someone genuine and honest because it would remind them of who/what they are not. And they’d try to destroy that person.
All my conversations always come full circle back to Michael. Look at what the world did to him; look at how they treated him; look at what they put him through.
THAT’S THE WORLD WE LIVE IN.
We live in a world where corporations spill oil in the Ocean that will damage millions of wild life, probably destroy a number of species and wipe them off the face of existence and NO ONE wants to take responsibility to clean it up.
We live in a world that glorifies beauty and one size, when human beings come in all sizes and looks; where reality T.V. cheapens love/relationships and makes it into a “game”: Roll out the cue cards showing: ROCK OF LOVE, FLAVOR OF LOVE, THE BACHELOR, THE BACHLORETTE, etc.
What kind of parent do you think Dr. Murray is? Or Tom Sneddon? Or Diane Diamond? These people are not going to give children a solid moral foundation because they are already corrupt themselves.
 Let me tell you something about children who wear uniforms to school — they don’t compete over clothes, but they compete over other things — looks, physical ability, coats, hair, jewelry, gadgets and opportunities Oh, you aren’t going to see J Beiber, well I am.
Now the children who are happy and gregarious and well liked, that’s the ones we SEE, the ones who are hurting and ostracized are quiet and shy. So I try not to forget about them — that’s all I’m saying. For all the lost children. (thank you Michael  )
Do I think the world is a BAD place? Not really. There’s a lot of good in the world and a lot of good people.
But the bad people in the world are bullies. They talk the loudest and make the most noise. And also effect the most damage.
They also, because they seem to understand how the world works, get into high, powerful positions. (Tom Sneddon  )
I think we do that to them, the world. The world is very focused on external beauty, especially for young girls. A baby, your two year old for example, she doesn’t know anything about that. Its the grown ups who tell some of the children you are sooooooo beautiful which is a lovely thing, but I think it should be said to all kids, not just a few. But that’s just me.
I also don’t like the Us vs Them mentality that we adults give children. Like in Kindergarten, when my daughter graduated, they had the mock graduation. Well, they gave out awards, and I couldn’t help but look at the children who DIDN’T get them — OMG, their little faces.
Now I compare it to my son’s special ed class — I guess the teachers are more sensitive to their feelings. So they gave out awards at the end of the year, but EVERYBODY got an award. They picked out something unique and special about each and every child and celebrated it — I liked that!!!!
I think until children have developed enough of a personality to understand what’s important (hard work, for example) that adults shouldn’t pit them against each other by selecting a few and making them out to be MORE special superficially than the other children. If a child shows unique ability and style, we should celebrate it, but I think we should celebrate that in EVERY CHILD because every child has something to celebrate. I tell my daughter she is beautiful all the time, but when she is acting ugly, I let her know that’s not very pretty — especially if she is being ugly to another person.
 Ha, ha, now how’s that for a full of it response?
By the way to all the people who gave me drinks for what the principal said about my son!!!!
   Cheeers!!! Here’s to all well-intended parents everywhere. Thank you sooooo much; that’s so sweet!!
Wow, Sabine,
You almost had me believing you had posted a new chapter here in the bar… :w00t:
Which would be pretty nice, because then we, the addicts, could read and drink at the same time. Hm, read and drink… I’m wondering if that’s legal at all?
Gracie,
We have summer vacation here too; the schools close for 7 weeks.
But I think my daughter would like to be where you are, because her vacation is still more than 5 weeks away.
Yeah he’s just a fad but can you believe that Teddy Riley said he was Elvis , The Beatles and Michael Jackson all wrapped up in one???? :getlost:
I was really pissed when I read that! He is only 16 so it will be interesting to see what direction he goes in next, but no one should be cpmparing him to MJ!
 Enola, is that your way of saying I wrote too much? I am a writer after all . . . don’t get me started on the injustices in the world and people!!! I’m a philosopher at heart. As for another chapter — I’m waiting for that shipment just like you guys are
Collette did Teddy Riley REALLLLY say that? Justin can’t even dance!!! Ugh! Maybe someone paid him to do that. I mean, he spent time with Michael, he knows that’s a lie. Forget Elvis and The Beatles — he’s not even Michael. It’s just like Lady Gaga, they try to hype them up.
You know I watched the Jackson’s movie last night — well into this morning 11:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. — I love that movie. I kinda liked it more the second time I watched it. It was so funny, when they were showing Hayvenhurst, I was thinking, oooo, that’s where Michael snuck Sabah into the house; that’s where she was having lunch with him — so funny, just the way it looked in my mind.
When they got to Thriller era, I was half expecting to see her in the background.
I love that movie I have it on DVD, it’s so good Angela Bassat deserved an Oscar for the amazing job she did. I am disappointed that he said that, it seems like a bratrayal of Michael to me, it’s so cheep like he said it so he would get to work with the kid and make some money i don’t know. I read it in an article and somone else who worked with Michael also said Lady Gaga reminds him of Michael because she’s so in control in the studio or something, uggggh It’s so upsetting to me I’d like to give him my piece of mind :getlost:
