Cowboy Mike XXII Sneak Preview!
The car pulled into the parking lot and Sabah hiked up her tight, dark skirt, careful not to rip the inch split in the back. As she stepped out of the car she caught a flash of gold in her peripheral vision. She didn't know what made her notice it or what made her stop but something told her to turn around and look a little closer. Well, she did and it took about a half a second for her to recognize who it was that she was looking at. Jogging as best as she could in her high heels, she caught up with Melissa as she was sticking her keys in her car door.
"Excuse me." Sabah called out, even before she had reached her. To Melissa, the clatter of her heels on the pavement were ominous. When Melissa didn't answer Sabah called out a little louder. "Excuse me!"
Melissa hesitated and looked in Sabah's direction but she didn't stop or turn around to acknowledge Sabah in any way. If anything she tried to open her car door faster but Sabah had already caught up to her. She arrived at her side, slightly winded and gave Melissa a leveled look.
"Melissa, right?"
"Yes," Melissa replied apprehensively. The last thing she wanted to deal with this morning was a confrontation. She tried to do so inconspicuously, but she couldn't help but take in how Sabah was dressed and she kicked herself for pulling on an old pair of jeans, a dusty pair of sneakers and a simple T-Shirt this morning. Right about now she'd kill for some heels, if only so she could look Sabah in the eye. As it were, Sabah was dressed to kill in an obviously designer suit, tailored to accentuate every curve on her shapely body. If Melissa didn't feel intimidated enough, the fact that she towered over Melissa in her two inch heels was even more daunting. The dark color and the simple lines of the form fitting skirt and jacket made Sabah look elegant while Melissa felt frumpy and unwanted. She came in hoping to catch a minute with Michael and though she knew he was there, he had avoided her like the plague. Thirty minutes she hung around and not once did he come out of his office, not even to say hi.
Sabah's penetrating glance spoke for her, even before she said a word. Considering what had just happened, Melissa couldn't help but feel small. She felt like hired help being cornered by a VIP business exec. And Sabah looked like she meant business, too. Melissa swallowed. It didn't take a rocket science to guess what this conversation was going to be about.
"Sabah Graham," Sabah held her hand out with confidence and Melissa hesitated before giving her a weak hand shake. Sabah's grip though was firm, and as soon as she released Melissa's hand she pinned her with an accusatory glare. Her tone though remained misleadingly disinterested.
"Um, what are you doing here?" . . . .
Meanwhile, the driver who had driven Sabah there peeped his head into Bill's office. Michael was laughing at something Bill had said and Bill was still talking when he interuppted them.
"Heads up guys. Mr. Jackson," The driver nodded at Michael respectfully. "Bill, Ms. Graham is here, and unfortunately she spotted a woman leaving - Melissa, right?" The driver glanced at Michael. When he saw Sabah run away from the front door towards Melissa, he made a mad dash for Bill's office immediately. He knew who Sabah was and Melissa -- well, she'd been sniffing around Michael for a couple of weeks now. "They're in the parking lot, um, having a discussion."
The guard wasn't even able to get the last words out before Michael sat up in his chair. "What?"

dear what in the world does that have to do with this??. I was saying that to him with a smile on my face and not abusing or insulting him. Can you explain how that fits in with this? Cuz I don't understand. I call my daughter lovingly my little devil or monkey all the time, does that sound being mean to you? I never abused him or anything. He was feeling very bad about giving her the bug!
Sabine...sorry you didn't get it, but I still stand by what I'm saying. Let me give you another example and this one is for real. Except for Monday, I've been feeling a bit under the weather and so my hubby has been dropping off and picking up our daughter from school, and he HATES AND DESPISES getting up in the morning, he'd rather pull his skin off than get up early, because he's not a morning person. But he's gonna do that till the end of the week, why because he cares and wants to see me get better quickly and so I have extra rest and all that. Now I didn't make him do it, he did out of his own accord. I woke up on Tuesday and over slept for one hour because I was feeling tired, and I immediately requested if he could take our daughter while I get her breakfast and get her ready. He never said a word and ran! If he didn't care, he'd told me to go to hell right! I know many husbands who are like that. To this day, he has always accompanied me and daughter on all her doctor's appointments and meetings with teachers, I don't make him, he does it out of love.
That's the same feeling I was getting when Michael wasn't stepping up. Let's forget about Melissa and her feelings for a minute. Agreed that she is not their problem. But if Michael is seeing that Melissa's lurking around is making Sabah uncomfortable then he could at least for Sabah's sake talk to her and then have her thrown in the slammer. Does he care more about Meliissa's feelings than Sabah's. You yourself said, Michael is just trying to avoid paining himself further and he's kinda being selfish in this situation. I understand Sabah can't MAKE him do it, but he loves her, in my opinion he would confront Melissa even if it kills him. I never said Sabah should MAKE him do anything, I feel this realization should come on its own to Michael.

Your husband WANTS to take your daughter to school. Very simple.

Yeah, Michael is being selfish, but so what, none of us are perfect. Remember I saiw shoulda, woulda coulda -- Michael won't do anything unless he wants to no matter how much SAbah demands, cajoles, please or requests.
It's just the chance we take when we have relationships -- the chance that it won't work out that way we want.

I skimmed my comments and I don't think I used the word MAKE once. If I sounded like that then it was misunderstood by you. I was just wondering why that realization is not coming to Michael on his own. I know no one is perfect and we don't screw up big time every day, but he does need to take responsibility. Its okay to get selfish on small everyday petty things, like Sabah ends up cleaning their condo while Michael just kicks his feet up, LOL!! But to me this is a major thing, and it was partially his doing, so he SHOULD do something about. I guess that's why I was sounding like she should MAKE him take responsibility, because hell yeah he is responsible too.
Let's just say the most horrifying unthinkable happened, and all of a sudden Sabah decides that having a famous high profile boyfriend like Michael is not worth it and she wants a normal life, and not wanting to hurt him and confront him she disappears without telling him anything, and the next thing Michael sees Sabah with another boyfriend. Don't you think Michael would deserve some explanation, after Sabah showed him dreams that he could have a life with her, she would marry him have his kids. That would seriously be painful. Now let's not say something like oh come on why would she do that its MICHAEL!! Well to Sabah Michael is not the Michael like he is to the rest of the world now is he?? I think everyone would be cursing Sabah if she did that to him.

Sonia you didn't say you were smiling or even joking when you originally told us about it so I felt bad for the guy. What does that have to do with this you ask? YOU brought up your relationship on several occasions and told us about your life. No big deal really.
Oh So we can also say why blame Sabah, it was Michael's decision, he's the one who took her to his cabin, and screwed her, so Sabah is in no way at fault. Michael should have seen it coming that millions of women are always after him and so Sabah just appealed more and now that she is tiring of him she wants to move on, since being MJ's girlfriend isn't all its cut out to be and doesn't seem so glamorous anymore. Sabah also owes Michael nothing then I guess? She can have a change of heart whenever she feels like it too.
Oh and it doesn't matter whether it was just a casual brief encounter between Michael and Melissa and with Sabah it has been a more serious relationship. I don't see why time or the duration of a relationship matters, either way its still painful and we are dealing with human feelings here. I think that's what some people are forgetting.
At fault for what, Sonia? I mean, what's the analogy? Michael and Sabah had sex and they both enjoyed each other immensely, no one is complaining!!!

I don't know what you read and interpreted from my comments. But its no hidden secret to Sabine especially that I had a rocky relationship with my parents.
Did I ever say I had an abusive relationship with my husband? NEVER! I might have said disagreements, that's not like as if there abuse, shouting yelling and cursing going on back and forth. Oh and he's my hubby by the way you don't need to feel bad about him, I'm there for him, and I don't see how from my comments on the net you could see how I must have said that to my hubby? I have never discussed what all my hubby and I went through to be together, and I don't intend to. I discuss my relationship with my mother alot, because alot of it applies to what Michael went through with his father and Sabine discusses her family as well. I don't remember once saying something negative about my hubby, I would never do that since there is nothing bad to say, otherwise I wouldn't be with him. There are many ladies on here we discuss our husbands, kids and family life, so what's the big deal??? I'm not the only one.
But I have to let you know, in the coming months, I'm not sure we might move out of here, so there might be a period where you might not hear from me, because I'll be on the other side of the world, but I'm not sure, so just letting you know. I don't run like that, LOL!!!

What is that supposed to mean! I mean until I get settled down and we've moved in, there could be a period where I might not be around for a few days. Girl do you have any idea, we have to sell everything and we can only take our bare belongings like 7 suitcases that too mostly clothes and essentials. In that country the same plugs don't work there, so I'll have to re-buy all our stuff, computer, laptop, I don't think we're gonna take any of it with us. I have huge Thomas Kinkade paintings and I don't know what to do, on top of that the hubby and I were discussing a while back about what to do, we don't have much time, we have to maybe put our house on sale soon, so there is alot of stuff going on. Girl don't mock me like that, LOL!!! But I'm really looking forward to it, its gonna be a step up in terms of quality family life though, but I'm not sure so lets see what happens. All our 10 years of belongings will have to go out the door, its not easy, even our cars have to go, what to do!!!

Okay michael was wrong, wrong wrong for the way he behaved toward MELISSA when he met Sabah especially after he already had sex with her [melisssa]
BUT after she never heard from him for a while, THEN she went and FOUND him at his rehearsals was TALKING with him until he saw Sabah and JETTED [[ lol, the coward] once he did all of that them the ALARMS bells should have been going off in her head that he no longer had any interests in her; i mean if that was me like her? yes i would have been very hurt and extremely pissed at him for playing with my emotions and feelings like that so i probably would have just decked him with my pocket book and walked away after all he may BE MICHAEL FRICKING JACKSON THE KING OF POP but HE'S STILL JUST ONE MAN!
and even more in relationships there is that possibility that things wont work [ not saying we ever enter one thinking that] but there's no guarantee but i'mm digressing, back on topic......... so she never saw him cant get him to return her calls, he's not answering her messages, she saw him and he walked away from her with his new love interest no less [[ real tacky of MJ] then she WENT to his private HOME one she had to get his BG [ who has since been fired] so ALARMS bells should have Gone off again at this]

for doing her he did, but the writing is there on the wall that he has totally lost interest in her and has moved on.... is what he did to her and the way he did it wrong ? yes, absolutely; did she deserved an explanation from him as to why he WON'T accept, return or talk with her anymore? maybe, depends on what they understood their association together was; seems to me like she was more inti him than he was into her, isnt that what guys do? last i checked Mj was still of the neanderthal men society [ even as lovable as he was lol] so is it farfetched that she misunderstood what they were and is now being hurt by his lack of regard? :dizzy: NO, but chasing him all over the place wont cement him back into her life! one of two things may happen with this confrontation of Sabah's with melissa from MJ's stand point, he may get unbeliavably mad at Sabah for interferring [ to him ii may seem that way since he did not ant her to meet melissa] or he could intervene before Sabah get a chance to DISCUSS anything with Melissa and tell he rhe'll take care of it [[as he should have from the beginning] and be unbeliavably mad at MELISSA for still seeking him out after he told her not to...... 
either way i CANNOT wait to see how it all go down LOL

I LOVE WHAT YOU JUST SAID. That's exactly how I feel about it. I don't care if Michael is also MICHAEL JACKSON, he is still a man, and the way I've kinda come down hard on him for this Melissa thing I would have said the same thing for any other man.
@Sabine....girl when I went away from here last night, and gave it more thought, I was like WOH HO!!!! Michael is full of some double standards or rather there are some double standards that I saw that I never saw before!
A few people have now said that Michael might get mad at Sabah for interfering with Melissa. I'd like to know why should Michael get mad at Sabah for that??? Do you all remember the time Michael felt so threatened by antoinette that even before meeting her, he TOOK action against her. Yes I said TOOK, and not CHOOSE. Some of you ladies here have said Sabah has CHOSEN of her own to confront Melissa, but when I look back at that chapter Rock With you, to us the readers it might look as though Michael had a choice about NOT to do something about Antoinette as compared to doing something. But looking at it from Michael's point of view he felt so threatened that he had to TAKE action, and I don't think he felt he had a CHOICE. Not only that but Michael had to really coax Sabah into giving her mother's info after putting alot of pressure on Sabah. Sabah eventually did YES give Michael the info, but with much much hesitation, because she felt she was left with no choice. HOWEVER, find this particular action of Michael's very RIGHT and justified, because he felt he was acting in the best interest for himself, Sabah and their relationship. Sabah did not get mad at him for going after her own mother now did she??? Because she knew Michael was doing it out of love, and she's got nothing to hide, however the same doesn't seem to be holding true for Michael.
Now Sabine my question to you is, with what right and authority did Michael put pressure on Sabah to give her mother's info to her?? I think Michael was ABSOLUTELY right in this case. Sabah has repeatedly asked or requested Michael to giver her Melissa info because she wants to talk to her, since Sabah does feel threatened by her. After many such requests Michael has not complied. Now don't tell me something like well just because Sabah gave her mother's info to Michael doesn't mean he has to do the same thing. YES I do feel that Sabah deserves to be treated equally in this relationship, and have her needs met as well. This is according to your own description of relationships yesterday. The way Michael MADE Sabah give her mother's info to him, I think Sabah had a right to MAKE Michael give Melissa's info to her and let her meet Melissa if that's what she wants to do. WHY! because the same way Michael exerted his right over Sabah because he is her bf and Sabah being the love of his life, has a right over her and their relationship to protect them, don't you think Sabah deserves the same right over Michael.
Sabine that's what I was getting at yesterday about have a certain degree of right over one another in a relationship. There are going to be times when one partner for the best interests of the relationship is gonna sometimes have to get pushy to protect and vice versa. Its not about controlling, I think it was a very LOVING thing Michael did back then on the yacht the way he took charge, because he had that right, even though Sabah had hesitations. Now why is Michael not doing the same for Sabah if she wants to exert her rights over him as his gf. Now again don't tell me, just because Sabah asks for something don't mean she's gonna get it, because Sabine girl I need to talk to you about what happened in the last chapter when Michael cornered Sabah in the shower and MADE her say yes to having kids under very manipulative circumstances.
Again that sounds like double standards to me Sabine.

Sonia girl, I know this might be a hard concept for you to understand, I'm actually amazed at it myself, but when I tell you I AM NOT writing this story, I swear, I'm not.
What I feel about relationships, how I feel a healthy relationship should be and how I feel healthy people should relate to each other has nothing to do with what I write in this story!!!! It is totally separate.
Whatever it comes to me that the characters say or decide to do I write, and I leave my judgment/opinion out of it.
So Michael in this story to me, is just being Michael and I am writing it to stay true to his character.
And Sabah, however she is being written, is how she is being given to me.
That's why I can discuss the story like I'm not writing it, like I'm a reader, because in a way, after I write it, I am the reader, because it's all new to me.
I don't even remember half of what I wrote because I haven't gone back and re-read -- I want to keep that part of my mind fresh and open to receive.
So I can't answer any of your questions!!!! I don't know what's going to happen. I can try to explain why Michael has double standards but really, it's just my opinion. And I've already given you my opinion over and over!!!!

When I discuss things with you, that is totally separate also, in that I discuss with you like all the other ladies here as well. I know the story is being given to you, and all we as readers can do is just discuss what we think, feel is right or wrong and everything that is happening. I'm aware of that, and I guess its just our discussions concerning every aspect of your stories that becomes grounds for discussion and debate. I know you can't change the story its just coming to you, but once we read, we do have all kinds of different opinions about what is right or wrong and those are not dependent on any God of Fiction, and they don't follow any rule or convention. We could debate till the cows come home but the story will just come to you, and through you doesn't matter what we all think, LOL!!! But we're all a bunch of crack addicts and I guess we just don't know when to put on the brakes!! But that's never gonna stop anyone from discussing which I think is so much fun.

Sonia, to me what would be healing for Michael is not if he listened to Sabah, when the drama starts but if he, in himself, because of the support and love that Sabah has given him, grows and evolves into a person that can make good choices, with Sabah being there to have his back and support him.
To me, that is what would have made a difference in Michael's life.

Well I guess we were just have a big disagreement about whether Michael owes Melissa any apology or explanation. That's why I gave a hypothetical scenario, that what if Sabah was to do to Michael what he did to Melissa. Remember the time Sabah didn't see him for one week and he saw her with Jonathan and Michael went nuts, and then he passed out when he thought Sabah had been kidnapped. What do you think will happen to Michael if Sabah was to just disappear from his life and not tell him?

Do you realize there's a difference between what one thinks someone is morally obligated to do and what one HAS to do?
To me the root of the debate yesterday is a discussion about free will.
We all have it. We are free to be as nice, kind and loving or as disruptive, mean spirited and domineering as we choose.
You do realize that or do you think there is some unseen force that is out there that will make people act "right" . . . . or makes people act "wrong"?
